News reporting..my choice

In our English subject today our teacher gave us another requirement. After the success of our Speech choir and finale song contest last Friday another thing we need to do is to have a news patrol just like TV patrol or Cnn. We choose what news we want to deliver and I choose the showbiz issue from UK.First thing in my mind is the character of Harry Potter since I am an avid fan of the movie and of course the book itself.

Daniel Radcliffe who plays the role of Harry Potter is my top pick. Daniel Radcliffe was born on July 23, 1989 so by now he is 18 years old, born in Queen Charlotte’s Hospital, West London, England, the only child of Alan Radcliffe, a literary agent, and Marcia Gresham a casting agent. He is an English actor and first expressed a desire to act at the age of five. In December 1999, he made his acting debut in the BBC’s televised two-part version of the Charles Dickens novel David Copperfield, portraying the title character as a young boy.Radcliffe was asked to audition for the role of Harry Potter in 2000 by producer David Heyman, while in attendance at a play named Stones in His Pockets in London. In August of that year, after several auditions, he was selected to play the role in the big-budget adaptation of the award-winning book series by J.K. Rowling.

Today Daniel Radcliffe is known not by his name but as Harry Potter himself. His acting career is consistently blooming and as a fan I’m really excited to see the next Harry Potter film entitled Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince which will be showing this November 2008. But I suggest that you should read first the book because you will understand the story better and you will be shocked by the many surprises as you read along the pages.

I think that’s all for today. Goodnight everyone..
